  • Icon Pilgrimage draws to a close in Clonard Monastery

The National Jubilee Icon pilgrimage draws to a close in Clonard Monastery, Belfast. It was a wonderful weekend of religious ceremonies, community visits and celebrations. This marks the last location on the six week pilgrimage which covered the entire country, from Derry to Cork, Galway to Dublin. It has been a truly blessed time of prayer, reflection and celebration around the Icon. Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us.

National Jubilee Icon Visits all 26 Cathedrals

The Follow the Icon pilgrimage reached St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belfast: the final Cathedral on our journey around the country. Since the beginning of April, tens of thousands of people have venerated the Icon in the twenty-six Cathedrals. The Pilgrimage will conclude this weekend in Clonard Monastery. The Redemptorists are a religious congregation of brothers, most of whom are priests. We live in community and are passionate about preaching the Gospel, especially to those who feel abandoned and live on the edges of church and society. A growing network of co-workers and associates is evidence of our conviction about the importance of partnership in mission and of our commitment to enable all the baptized to take their rightful place in the life and ministry of the church.
